The VehTrak end user software is simply a Web Browser. Users access the VehTrak system by pointing their browser at the VehTrak server. The current and historical location data is accessed as a standard web page. The VehTrak map is also accessed via a web browser.

This browser based user interface allows many users in your organization to use the VehTrak system without the headache of maintaining a software installation on each user's computer. Additionally, as new features are added to VehTrak, only the server software needs to be upgraded, allowing all end users to automatically have access to the new features.

If a heavyweight, traditional client application is desired, the vehtrak server can still be used, with the heavyweight client accessing location data through the VehTrak Web Service or RMI interface.
