We are a small software engineering firm based in Mount Airy, Maryland.
We build custom systems from the ground up, or work under your management
as members of your team. We employ only the very best engineers and adhere
to proven software engineering practices, enabling us to produce predictable,
high quality results on every job.
Most of our contracts and our prior work experience has been with Intelligent
Transportation Systems (ITS) and related applications. We have performed work
for many organizations, including Motorola, Computer Sciences Corporation,
PB Farradyne, Orbital Sciences Corporation, Edwards and Kelsey,
and the Virginia Railway Express. Our contracts have ranged from hourly consulting
to help troubleshoot a problem, to the full specification, design, and implementation
of ITS systems. We are experienced in freeway management, incident response,
distributed multi-site ITS systems, and automated vehicle location (AVL).
We have experience with interfacing ITS systems
to hardware such as Dynamic Message Signs (DMS/VMS), Highway Advisory Radio (HAR),
Closed Circuit TV (CCTV), Weather Stations, and Traffic Sensor Systems (TSS).
We adhere to the emerging standards being defined as part of the National Transportation
Communications for ITS Protocol (NTCIP), including both the Center to Center CORBA
based standards and the Center to Field standards.
Our founders have strong roots in solid software engineering practices which
lead to high quality products. We have experience with quality assurance typically
employed only by larger companies, such as ISO9001 and SEI CMM and are comfortable working
in these environments. We employ object oriented designs for even our smallest jobs,
follow a coding standard, use peer reviews, perform configuration management, and use methodical
testing. All of these practices help us to achieve high quality results on every job.
We go out of our way to ensure that the best solution is employed, taking into account
not only the cost and the schedule, but also maintainability, expandability, and future
directions an application may take. This helps to protect your software investment and
ensures a long life for your system.
